Free City of Sleepytown
The Free City of Sleepytown was a large city to the north of the great desert in a plains biome next to a small lake. Their name came from the fact that they got a bed for all their members in session 1A. Sleepytown was in World One. Sleepytown was a member of the Ophelion League. In session 10, Sleepytown joined Riverhold in a merger, forming the Twin Cities. Government of the Free City of Sleepytown

History
Early in session one, a player known as "Shepherd" established a solitary skybase next to a lake after escaping the desert. During the next two days, two separate groups of players would arrive seeking aid and decide to settle here. The cramped skybase would slowly grow, and the group gathered sheep to make beds, being careful not to die until every person had a bed of their own. At the end of session 1A, the group would finally decide on the name SleepyTown for their nation, and the people within would be called Albanians. During session two, a player named "Shima" was tasked to go recruit and guide lost souls at spawn so that they could come to Sleepytown and become productive citizens and benefit from fitful sleep. They also entered the Iron Age with the slow adoption of Iron armour and tools.
As of session three the Sleepytown has accepted migrants into their region and started founding sister states such as Riverhold.
Later in session four, the two states confederated into the Ophelion League, which is a union that coordinates trade and defence.
Economy
The Albanian economy was a guild-based palatial economy. Occupation was primarily freely chosen by the citizenry, however, should the State Assembly vote on a job crisis in one field, incentives or conditions on naturalisation of new residents may be enforced to help resolve any issues.
The main industries were sugarcane and wool, but with the recent level advancements in the Commune's blacksmith, "Vulki", and the main miner, "Knight", the production of iron-based items is increasing rapidly, with most of the town projected to be fully armoured by the end of the third session and hopefully starting to enter the diamond age.
With the builder expertise of Riverhold, a ground base was constructed in exchange for access to Sleepytown's Healers.
Government
The government was a palatial direct democracy, with a unicameral supreme body in the State Assembly. Matters of importance are discussed and voted upon by citizens in a Westminster model.
In Session three, the government was formed officially due to the population doubling to 17. Shepherd was elected head of state, Ash Shima was elected head of the government, and Vulki was elected home secretary. Under them, class guild leaders who are elected by citizens of that class run the day-to-day operations of the state.
The Head of State was a ceremonial role intended to simplify diplomacy and reception of envoys and emissaries from foreign states. The Head of Government was tasked with facilitating debates, meetings, and votes among the citizenry in the State Assembly, as well as retaining records of matters and settling disputes. The Home Secretary wastasked with overseeing foreign and local affairs with sister states, and has the authority to dispatch envoys to other states.
Amusingly, there was a community complaints board that was recently installed, but it has thus far been ignored.
Foreign affairs
SleepyTown has begun negotiating trade deals with neighbouring civilisations to exchange their surplus beds for iron and leather. Sleepytown and Riverhold have also joined in a confederation known as the Ophelon League to share needs and help with collective defence issues.
Riverhold is the first sister state founded under the guidance and protection of Sleepytown.
They have now made a confederation called the Ophelion League to coordinate trade, plans and defence. With the main diplomats creating relations being Vulki and 420 "no nickname chosen". With Shima's diplomatic efforts are directed towards inviting new sister states into the Ophelion League to expand the league's collective defence capacity and facilitate peaceful trading relations.
Military
The city was defended by 328 Balance.
Culture
There existed a ritual to end each session sleeping in a bed, waiting for the server to close. It was highly believed that citizens must have a nickname to facilitate community, with the State Assembly adopting a non-binding resolution to promote this practice.
The citizenry was a very varied mix of international cultures, and thus the legal system is primarily based upon the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
