History

Session 1 A

Skycity was settled during the First day after a group of 13 left spawn and found forest and grassland away from the tundra, forming the Western Settlement of Skycity over a lake

Two other groups had settled to the east and to the south. On the fourth night, Player_571, the Captain of the 'New Hill Fort' group, who had first settled on the hill above the lake Skycity is built over, went to the Western Settlement to propose the two skybases confederate into. The Western Settlement did not however have a leader. To make sure the West was fairly represented 571 appointed Participant_724 to be the leader of the Western Settlement. The Southern Settlement united together with Eastern and Western Settlements afterwards, and was then abandoned due to constant attacks from mobs. As all of the settlers were huddled together in separate sky-bases to make it through the night, the now unified settlement was baptised "Skycity".

On night 6 the Western settlement's leader and blacksmith Participant_571 was killed by Player_907. A Kill On Sight order was then decreed, as punishment for these crimes.

As Day 1 session A was winding down, Skycity's population shot up to 26 players.

Session 1B

When Day 1 session B started, the population quickly exploded to around 35-40, later peaking at 45 before declining again due to food & tool shortages, and a host of other difficulties. This created many problems due to the new need of food, which forced 724 and 571 to call the first meeting of Skycity. This meeting formed ministers and directed new players to separated jobs. Ministers for all classes were created, with one head for each.

Even with their best efforts, Skycity didn't manage to reach food quota for its populace, leading to a Second meeting of Skycity, Initiated by 571 and latter joined by 724. Multiple suggestions to raid were publicly suggested, but were met with large opposition from the populace of Skycity. This meeting did lead to the construction of a large mob farm, both to deal with resource shortages, especially string, & to reduce mob spawning rates around the city at night.

The mob farm was constructed by 101 and later by 877 to get string for fishing rods in response to a growing food issue with the large influx of players.

Session 2A

During session 2A, the third meeting was called by 571 and 724 to take a headcount and strategize. They counted the population at twenty. They emphasized the need to improve Skycity's food security.

Participant_831 expanded the sugarcane farm below Skycity. Participant_822 was close to becoming a trained healer but fell through a poorly constructed part of the base and perished. Participant "Alexander" nominated himself to take on the role of trainee healer but disappeared. At some point during the session, 571 and 724 both disappeared, leaving a deputy in charge.

Skycity received visitors from other civilization's. They heard tell of a 'Monkey Kingdom' from one of these diplomats, which archivists can deduce is the nation of Pitsberg. One visitor to Skycity had an enchanted iron chest plate, and reported his civilization possessed an enchantment table.table, he was also holding what he claimed was a sharpness 3 sword, he also showed the sky city his God bow, that he claimed to have power 4, unbreaking 3, flame, and mending.

Iron, Gold, Redstone and Lapiz were obtained during this session by a very hot and cool miner.

Skyciv entered the iron age when their Blacksmith's Participant_180 and Participant "Gold" was able to create iron armour (from a very hot and cool miner). Thanks to the creation of a bucket, Participants 775, 581, and 626 successfully made significant steps towards expanding the agricultural capacities of Skycity, creating a steady supply of bread for the people of Skycity.

Shifts where given to each guardsman to either protect the entrance, go into the mines (protecting a very hot and cool miner), or help with the creation of the farms.

Session 2B

"The Baby Zombie Incident" took place in this session, leading to multiple deaths, including of the head farmer 755. The farmers were not set back significantly however, and three healers were able to start making bandages thanks to highly productive sugar cane farms.

The very hot and cool miner unfortunately died and lost level 3 mining but a different very hot and cool miner got to level 3

757 and 571 went on a diplomatic mission to Greenhil and Pitsberg and a defense treaty was created between the three.

A bridge between Sky City and Greenhil was created.

Toward the end of the session 10 Men from chickenheim and roughly 7 from Black sheep showed up due to belief in Sky City wanting to attack them, Sky City declined this and peace was brought among the three civilizations.

Economy

Skycity had a rudimentary subsistence economy as of the end of session 1.

At the end of session 2, Skycity had highlysome-what productive wheat and sugarcane farms, as well as limited but productive livestock farms with Sheep, Chicken and Cows. The economy was still based largely on the pooling of resources, and communal buildings began to be constructed. Such as the Aura Farmers Guild Headquarters, Mob Grinder Builders Guild, Blacksmithing Guild and Guardsmen Guild.Guild, Despite this the Sky City is still very primitive.

Government

Participant_571 was acclaimed the leader of the 'New Hill Fort' group who created the Eastern Skycity by Participant_626 during their escape from the Tundra before the construction of New Hill Fort. The larger Western Skycity's leader was appointed by the leader of 'East' group's 'leader' to be Participant_724.

Despite leaders being in place, both groups were deliberative, decentralized and loosely organized, relying on community bonds and mutual generosity, rather than strict leadership.

When Skycity was officially founded, 724 & 571 were acclaimed as co-leaders, as a guiding hand between the two primary settlements.

During the First large meeting of Skycity, ministers were divided, and jobs were dispersed between old and new players within the city. By the third meeting, the system of ministries had largely broken down.

Foreign Affairs

Skycity is a connected part of World 2's diplomatic community. Skycity has an open policy to outside Participants, as is typical of large sky base civilizations where policing all members is difficult. Skycity has concerned itself largely with domestic affairs as of session 2.

Just before the end of Session 1 the Participant_463 and Participant_571 lead an expedition of 5 players into the lands of Greenhill with which they established formal and positive relations. By the end of session 2, a bridge of allyship had been created between the two Civilisations, and a defensive pact signed.

In Session 2B, a formal embassy of Black Sheep Island was established in Skycity.

Skycity has a defensive pact with Pitsberg.

The arrival of ten well-armed full enchanted iron Armor Participant's from Chickenheim sent panic through Skycity, and rumours of a raid spread.

Military

The "Military" Is officially commanded by Participant_463, leading a small force of guardsmen.

Culture

The Skycitizens, though a rudimentary civilization, have showed a tendency towards pacifism, generosity, and an openness to wanderers.

Most skycitizens stay within the refuge of the city and rarely wander out. The sky platform ensures a safe space for its inhabitants away from mobs, or so they'd like to think. The rustle and bustle of the city necessitate the use of either text chat or finding an isolated area to speak with others. Otherwise, it's often hard to hear or be heard within the swarm of voices. The dense population isn't all that bad though. Many people allow for many forms of progression and industry.industry, although this may be their downfall due to the short amount of food. Because of the industrious nature of this nation, the inhabitants have access to a wide array of amenities. Since there is always some project going on, the average skycitizen is always busy.busy .

Notes:

Population is probably inaccurate due to the amount of people within Skycity, making it hard for Chroniclers to judge.
