Fort Red Berry
IntroductionFort Red Berry is located on a small peninsula south-east of the spawn region. It is a small stronghold built from the ground up by the residents of the nation. It is known for its impressive fortitude and ever-evolving defenses, as the main component of the wall is made up of red berry bushes. This wall acts as a barrier between the outside world and the inside, as mobs cannot path-find through the bushes. A lava trap greets the mobs at the fort's only entrance, granting the citizens relative peace of mind as they progress through their day. This defensive powerhouse of a wall is known colloquially as, "The Great Berrier", and is a symbol of might to the people. At the end of trial 1, Fort Red Berry had two miners, a blacksmith, a healer, a builder, a librarian, and a guardsman. Honorable mention to player 209 who was a librarian (before being banished) but could not keep their levels for the life of them. |

History
Fort Red Berry was founded during session 1 when players 2, 310, and 252 decided to group up and settle down somewhere south of spawn. At first, it was just a small skybase with a trapdoor fall trap to keep mobs away. After the group survived their first night in their new home, they began fortifying the area around the skybase. It is during this period of initial fortification that player 2 set off to collect berry bushes for food. Upon returning, they discovered that berry bushes were the ultimate early-game defensive tool. The key to their power lies in the simple fact that mob path-finding was mostly entirely inhibited by the presence of berry bushes. With this discovery, a new era of defense engineering unseen anywhere else in the world began. Alongside the addition of an underground lava source very close to the surface, the residents of the soon-to-be Fort Red Berry used this new technology to set up a strong and cheap barrier around the land they claimed, which soon came to be known as, "The Great Berrier".
At first, the wall seemed insurmountable. However, the mobs in the area were very clever. They figured out that they could push each other through the bushes to reach the citizens. The spider population also just walked straight through the wall, rendering it useless. As a counter-measure, player 2 assembled a layer of blocks to prevent the mobs from being pushed through as well as a lip on the front edge to prevent pesky spiders from crawling in. Player 310 also built a mini skybase above the front entrance where the main lava trap was located to lure mobs straight to a fiery death safely. For the time being, these changes were more than enough to solve the mob problem.
For a good while, the land was peaceful. Sheep and cow populations grew alongside a small farm that harbored wheat, sugarcane, and various tree types. The residents also took up the occupation of fishing, which allowed them to sustain themselves off of fish alone. During this time, many travelers passed through the settlement. Some stopped by to help out while others loitered or just stayed the night. As the days passed, cracks in the defense started forming. Because Fort Red Berry is situated on a river, the nearby drowned population commonly pesters the residents at night. This has led to the construction of a wall, which at first was a mini berrier. It was soon upgraded to a two-block high wall, which did help push the drowned back but not by much. The mobs also developed the ability to strip-mine, which allowed them to burrow up from deep underground. Before the residents knew it, mobs were erupting from the earth, throwing the nation into chaos. Creeper explosions combined with the constant storm of arrows caused the citizens to flee to the skybases at night. Attempts to fix this issue were ineffective at first, as the sheer number of mobs flowing out of the caves was overwhelming. Despite the sense of dread felt by the residents, they came up with a plan to spread the lava in the entrance trap down into the caves. During the day, they would excavate the hole the mobs spawned from, allowing the lava to flow down into the depths. This combined with another set of trapdoors doomed the mobs to suffer in the flowing molted death, while the citizens watched and laughed. This new system returned the peace to the fort, and enabled the growth of skills for the first time since the group made landfall. Soon, iron and copper were being smelted down and forged into new things such as tools, a lightning rod, armor, and more.
This era of relative peace enabled player 2 to level up their healer skill, which enabled them to go out and trade with the surrounding civilizations for resources. 310 and 252 worked hard to bolster defenses and expand available facilities, and 2 joined them in their efforts once returning from trading. They even gained a new member, player 37! For once, the nation felt like they had beat the mobs for good. But as you will soon come to find, the mobs of Fort Red Berry never stop evolving. For now though, the group fished. Throughout the night, they would sit back and fish up food, random garbage left in the river, and very rarely even treasure. They even caught a pet salmon that they named Fred. Fred is very fat, but we all love him despite that.
One peaceful night, while the group fished, 252 noticed a hole in the ground. Upon further inspection, 252 realized what was about to occur. Suddenly mobs emerged up once again from the depths, ready to take vengeance on the players. Chaos broke out, with most if not all members succumbing to the sudden attack. Mobs swarmed the fort, flooding in from both the outside and within causing many casualties. The panic lead to equipment being lost in the lava traps, as well as skills being reset back to zero. When morning rose after that fateful night, the damage had been done and was assessed to be quite severe.
As it turns out, the mobs had destroyed the trapdoors in the underground trap, allowing them to path-find through the earth. Amidst the chaos, player 310 lost the bucked containing Fred. When morning came and 310 went looking, he did not find him. He thought Fred was gone, but fortunately someone had managed to save him by putting him in a chest placed during the panic to reduce further losses. With Fred safe, the nation vowed to never let that happen again, especially considering Fred cannot re-spawn. This began the process of crafting stone bricks, blocks that are immune to mob breaking. A quarry for resources had already been dug, but for this purpose was expanded to harvest the stone from the earth. This stone was smelted down for use in the wall surrounding the fort as well as the floor to prevent mobs from digging up again.
-------
Over the days, mobs would dig up through the areas that had yet to be fortified, and every time the citizens fought back by reinforcing those spots with the bricks. Eventually, the fortification project was complete. Fort Red Berry had become mob proof. The citizens had won. Fred was finally safe! With this new-found safety, the people thrived. Iron and copper became abundant, exp was gained in safety, and travel became common. The town even celebrated the addition of a new miner, player 431! More and more travelers passed by, and soon enough ambassadors from other nations began hearing of the successes of Fort Red Berry. Before long, these ambassadors were conducting commerce and establishing relations with the Fort, providing their goods and services in exchange for things like iron, copper, food, and safety. Player 310 was mostly in charge of talking to them, and often gave tours and food to new visitors. The members of Fort Red Berry also did their own fair share of traveling, going to places such as Dead Horse and Loup Land to conduct commerce.
Because of the influx of resources, the town blacksmith, 310, was able to equip all members in full iron gear. An anvil was also placed in the town, allowing 310 to make very powerful items fished up by the other members. This new influx of strength allowed the group to try and take on the nether. They thought it wouldn't be that bad, but the mobs had informed their hellish friends of the groups arrival. Upon entering, players 310 and 252 were immediately swarmed by zombie pigmen. 252 was able to pillar up, but 310 was forced to retreat to the overworld. 310 was able to get help from 37, and together they secured the area outside the nether portal as well as rescue 252 from the horde of angry pigmen.
After the small nether excursion, Fort Red Berry ran as usual. Working during the day, fishing at night. Player 2 worked on establishing an outer berrier, players 252 and 431 mined for more resources, player 37 traveled to Loupland to gamble, and player 310 leveled up blacksmith and worked on making gear from the resources gathered during the ongoing mining and fishing efforts. More merchants came and went, and talks of hiring a builder to craft blocks for the Fort were discussed. The land was peaceful, and the citizens were prosperous.
One fateful afternoon however, during the construction of the outer wall, player 2 noticed a group of heavily armed players headed towards Dead Horse. At first, 2 thought nothing of it, merely mentioning it in passing to 310. It wasn't until a freshly respawned member of Dead Horse informing them of an invasion that the citizens realized what was going on. This DH member informed them that they were under attack, by the very same group spotted by player 2 moments earlier. This sprung the members into action, leading them to gear up and prepare the base for their absence. Once the sun rose, the members set off, ready for battle. They traveled to Dead Horse on foot, with 37 riding on the Fort's very own skeletal steed. Upon arrival, a local resident on the outskirts of town directed them to the conflict. As the group approached the center of town, 252 and 37 took the high ground towards the hill while 310 and 2 ran through the downtown alleyways. They quickly located and surrounded the perpetrators, and the ensuing battle resulted in the death of several enemy combatants. The only one to escape was player 291, clad in diamond armor, but not before their helmet was shattered. As this escapee fled they managed to knock 310 to the floor, deciding to continue running over finishing the kill. Fortunately, player 2, the resident battle medic, was nearby and helped 310 back on his feet. This marked the end of the battle. The townsfolk were in dis-array, but were very thankful to the groups aid. Feeling triumphant, the group headed home.
High off of the adrenaline of war, the group fished. They celebrated their victory, while also discussing the events that unfolded. They also recognized that they had just made a choice, the choice to side with Dead Horse. This put targets on their back, but it meant they also made a new ally. Because they proved themselves in battle, the group decided to officially become mercenaries. Thus, the private mercenary squad known as, "The Red Thorns" was born. Together, they decided to help those who requested their services, and made it their mission to aid their allies in their times of need. For a fee, of course.
The Red Thorns' first mission, that being the defense of Dark Horse, was a success. Their nation returned to peace, with new members such as 209, 911, and 888 joining the fort's ranks. Now armed with a librarian and a master miner in the form of 252, the first diamonds were secured by Fort Red Berry. These were used to power up 252, as they had been the one to mine them. As per usual, the people worked. 310 fished, smelted ore, and made equipment for the townsfolk. 2 leveled healer, traveled, and talked politics with the occasional visitor. 252 mined, and so on. 310 was even established as the nation's head politician, acting as the "leader" whenever a foreigner asked for one. 2 was elected as his assistant, handling these matters in his absence. With this decision, the citizens finally had someone to direct political matters to. Life, for a little while anyway, was finally looking up.
One day, an ambassador from Dead Horse arrived at Fort Red Berry's gate. They desired to make use of Fort Red Berry's services by recruiting them to aid in the efforts to liberate the now terrorist-controlled Mycelia. 310 was the one to make the deal, and soon the next day a massive "army" from Dead Horse arrived at the Fort's doorstep. This horde of people was unruly, noisy, and somewhat uncooperative. Despite this, the fort did its best to gear these ruffians up. 310 and 37 corralled the mass of players and got them to form a line, gearing them up with iron weapons and armor, with a select few getting bows. They set off as quickly as they arrived, with the members of the fort staying for a few more minutes to make last second preparations. As soon as they were ready, they headed to Mycelia.
By the time the Fort Red Berry residents made landfall, the conflict seemed to have already been resolved. The horde of Dead Horse members appeared to have already dealt with the situation, and as a result meant that the Fort residents had mostly nothing to do, other than to talk to the Jester. After this excursion, the group headed back to base to ensure the fort was still safe. Once they returned and verified its safety it was back to business as usual, with the group couldn't helping but feeling like the whole ordeal was a waste of time and resources. The resources spent and the time wasted made the group start to doubt Dead Horse as a nation, which was further strengthened by the news that the terrorists recaptured Mycelia once Dead Horse left.
With this loss Fort Red Berry decided to tighten up border security, and to reconsider how they approached foreign relations. The people wished to remain neutral to all, as to not incur the wrath of those who's only goals were death and destruction. Trades were conducted at the front gate, travelers were instructed not to enter the inner wall, and all foreigners were heavily questioned when they journeyed to the Fort. As life went on, tensions rose. 310 built an auto-chicken farm to keep up with the demand for ammunition consumed by the fort during conflict, while also making very powerful bows for the newer members of the fort. More and more supposed "terrorists" were stopping by, with the Fort remaining neutral to them as best as they could. It wasn't until 888 and 209 were chased back to the Fort did the first arrow fly from within the Fort's walls, for the duo was being tailed by some of the people in control of Mycelia, who immediately fled when put under the mighty pressure of the Red Thorns. This defense marked the end of the session, as well as a historic moment in the fort's history.
Early the next morning, a group consisting of 461 and 702 showed up at the Fort's front gates to discuss business. These mercenaries, fully clad in diamond armor, came to gain information about the Fort's political position regarding other nations, with a heavy emphasis on Dead Horse. These travelers seemed to hold great disdain for Dead Horse, as they resented how they ran things and those that were allowed within their walls. With the recent failure from Dead Horse to re-take Mycelia, 310 couldn't help but agree with this sentiment, as the Fort had yet to truly receive proper payment. As these talks occurred, members from what once was Brightion overheard the ongoing talks as they passed by, making remarks about how the terrorists were in Fort Red Berry. This outburst caused the Fort's guests to ask for a chance to "rid" the fort of them, which 310 was impartial to as he wished to keep the Fort's neutral status intact. These passerby had up to this point been good to the Fort, so 310 had no issue with them. Unbeknownst to the people at the time, this event would be the catalyst for what was soon to come. Once talks had concluded, the menacing visitors left the fort, only to shortly return to put in a final word about the Brightions who had passed by. After this little kerfuffle, the residents noticed a forest fire that had begun right after their visitors had departed, which aroused suspicion with the sub sequential investigation unfortunately resulting in nothing. Fortunately, only the outer berrier sustained minor damage, so it did not affect them all that much.
As the day went on, the Fort's members focused on their work, with efforts to collect resources from the nether becoming the main focus. While players 37, 252, and 431 were securing the portal, 310 finally managed to make a maxed out fishing rod! 310 had spent a long time on this rod, so now that it was assembled he was finally able to move on to helping with the nether efforts. While 310 was out helping, he received a message from 2 informing him of people showing up at the fort. This caused 310 to issue an order to return to base, which allowed 310 to get back in time to return order to the fort. This time, it was members from Skylands who stopped by to discuss business.
Essentially, Skylands wanted to do what Dead Horse tried to do with Mycelia but better. They planned to occupy Mycelia after liberating it to establish proper control so that it could not fall once more. They came to the fort to hire their best mercenaries in exchange for payment. At first, their offer was somewhat low. This is when 310 had the idea to demonstrate the power they truly held, and asked for someone to let him demonstrate. When a brave soldier stepped up to the plate, fully equipped in iron armor mind you, 310 struck him down with nothing but a single arrow. With this display of power, the Skyland representatives were inclined to pay more, eventually settling on a price that pleased the fort. With this, Fort Red Berry agreed to come to the Skylands aid when the time was right. That would have to wait for now, as the planned time of attack was not for another few sessions.
In the meantime the fort stocked up on resources. More enchantments were secured, such as a silk touch pickaxe for 252 and various enchanted books for later use. As the group progressed through the nether, they managed to gather the resources necessary for brewing potions. This newfound technology would allow the group to power up further than any other nation up until now. As the group headed back, they passed by player 17, who 37 briefly addressed and complimented about how he was able to get iron armor when he had none the last time he saw him. After bidding him farewell, the group returned home. However, something was very, very wrong. Blocks were out of place, water was flowing where it should not have, and two strangers stood sifting through their chests full of the Fort's goods. This immediately sent the group into a panic, trying to assess the damages and see what remained. For the most part, the bulk of their resources were untouched. These strangers were soon identified as people fleeing from terrorists at Dead Horse, claiming that they had been chased over and noticed loads of items on the floor which they decided to clean up for the group. It was then when player 2 discovered the absence of their enchanted books that they had kept in a safe place, meaning someone with knowledge of that safe space had gotten away with very powerful enchantments. In the wrong hands, those books could spell disaster for the fort, with the whole world surely to follow. While 310 and 252 began cleanup efforts, 37 asked the strangers questions regarding the situation, to no avail considering that they essentially knew as much as the group did. This event was the turning point for how Fort Red Berry decided to run things, as from now on the dynamic at base would drastically change.
All this commotion made the group realize one thing: they did not know who they could trust anymore. They had grown so strong, and word of their success had spread too far. Now, they faced the wrath of an unknown enemy. But, not all hope had been lost. Upon recalling all the facts of the day, the group came to a realization. There may have been an imposter among them all this time. At first, they recalled the events of the arson from earlier. Upon further investigation two players came up; 111 and 343. 111 was informed by another that allegedly Fort Red Berry intended to attack Dead Horse, which led them to act independently of the nation. 343 merely caught them in the act and decided to assist, as they agreed with their plans. As for the person who griefed the base, no one could ever be pinned down. Despite this, one person was suspected to potentially be behind the attack. Player 17. No one else was nearby during the chaos, and the strangers at base didn't seem like the culprits considering their efforts to fix the damage. 17 was seen heading in an opposite direction during the attack, with the entire group passing him by while he made his escape.
-------
As the sun rose, the citizens woke with burning questions that needed answering. Firstly, players 111 and 343 were interrogated. When asked about the fires from the other day, both denied having any involvement with them. This resulted in a swift execution for both, as the fort would not tolerate their blatant lies. Secondly, the fort addressed 209. 209 had invited 343 to the fort the night before to live as their farmer, which 310 only agreed to because he wanted to question him. Because 343 denied the truth, this cast a bad light on 209's reputation. Associating with those who did not have the fort's best interests at heart was a surefire way to get in-sided, and as such led to 209's banishment from the fort. 209 was not a bad person per-say, they simply had connections to too many bad actors. Thirdly, player 17. They had not logged on since the previous session. This however did not stop 310 and 37 from beginning the hunt for this dastardly thief, along with all the valuable enchanted books that they stole.
With their sights set on a new target, players 310 and 37 set out as soon as they could to try and find player 17. First, they searched the areas they had saw him last, and the spots that he might have had time to flee to. No luck. They then tried places they thought they had seen 17 before, so off to the Jestocracy they went. When they arrived, the Jester met them at the shoreline. After talking with him for a moment, it was clear that 17 was not going to be found there. As a matter of fact, the Jester was the only person even occupying the Jestocracy as well as Mycelia. He seemed lonely, looking for people to play his games. Unfortunately for the Jester, our mercenaries had a job to do, and bid him farewell promising him to come play when everything was said and done. Next, they headed to Dead Horse. When they arrived, they met with a government official, who when asked if they knew 17 was not able to recall someone of that name. Without a lead, our mercenaries decided to just head home. Unfortunately, all of their efforts were in vain. Player 17 was not only never seen again, but wasn't even the thief. That title belonged to player 288, who was never caught.
After this wild goose chase, 310 and 37 returned to the Fort. Player 2 was having trouble with the new nether materials, and out of sheer luck was visited by GOD (ShotRush) himself to teach 2 about how to truly take full advantage of the new resources the group had gathered. After GOD left, player 2 was able to make a brewing stand! This unlocked the brewing of potions for the people, which meant that the fort grew even stronger. This power meant that they could charge into battle with might and speed unknown to all other nations, allowing Fort Red Berry to become nigh unstoppable. While all this was going on, 252 was also hard at work. He was mining many materials meticulously, enabling 310 to be able to make diamond armor for the people. With the addition of the payment from the Skylands for use in more armor, Fort Red Berry had finally reached the peak of their power.
Now that Fort Red Berry was fully equipped, they were ready for war. So, they waited. As they waited, they continued to do their usual busywork. Fishing, mining, tending to the animals, construction, and the like. During their downtime, Dead Horse sent over a representative to deliver a peace offer. This was to apologize for the misunderstanding and the arson, and to re-establish peace between the nations. 310 was happy about this, and sent something back as a sign of their new-found peace. Once they had left, it was back to waiting.
After a certain point, the people grew bored. Really bored. But fortunately for them, the Skylands came to provide entertainment. It was time. They made their final preparations, and sailed off into the sea to go to war. The agreement saw to it that the Fort Red Berry mercenaries were the ones leading the charge, as they were the strongest. The members of the Skylands followed closely behind, with some Dead Horse members briefly crossing paths with them as they traveled across the ocean. As they arrived at Mycelia, they discovered that once again not a single soul was residing there. This time however, the Skyland milita began establishing defensive walls to re-claim the land. They worked to secure the border, and truly take over the land once and for all. Since Fort Red Berry had completed their contract, they returned to base. Without anything to do, the residents grew restless. As a result, the Red Thorns decided to do something that they could never truly undo. It was finally time, time to show the whole world why they should have not let them be. It was time for bloodshed.
They were fed up. Tired. Bored to tears. Nothing ever happens anywhere, and the Red Thorns were itching to stretch their legs and draw their bowstrings. Everyone always asked them for things, always used them for their own selfish purposes. Now, it was time for the Red Thorns to walk their own path for once. It was time for a world-tour, with the first stop being the oh so incompetent Dead Horse. Player 2 brewed various potions, 310 made arrows and diamond gear, and 252, 37, and 431 prepared food and other battle materials. Once they were ready, they charged towards Dead Horse.
When they arrived, it was a ghost town. Unbeknownst to them, Dead Horse was also on a world-tour. They would soon find out that they had headed to Loupland. They did however find 461 and company, known terrorists to Dead Horse. After talking to them for a moment, the Red Thorns surrounded them and hit them with an all out attack, reducing them to dust. This gave the group but only a taste of violence, leading them to crave more. They decided that the next stop in their world tour would be Loupland, as the casino was too enticing to pass up on. As they set sail towards Loupland, they debated taking the nether highway to cut down on travel time. However, they decided against it, for they wanted to take the time to discuss strategy while making the journey across the vast ocean. Before long, the arrived at Loupland. They were met by many players, demanding to know what business they had there. Due to previous relations with the casino owners, the Red Thorns were able to convince the citizens that they were there to gamble. They quickly lightened their tones and directed the group to the casino. They had successfully infiltrated Loupland.
Now at the casino, the group registered at the front desk. After this, they took some time to look around and admire the cathedral and surrounding buildings. They mingled with the townspeople, asking them questions about their infrastructure and way of life. 343 was residing here, and 310 alongside 37 confronted him about why he tried to cause trouble for the Fort. He explained that he was merely going off of what 111 told them, and that he truly thought Fort Red Berry wished to attack Dead Horse. He apologized for doing so, and lamented at his past decisions. This demanded a certain level of respect from 310 and 37, although they did not entirely forgive him. Moving on, they discovered a man with many dogs who would soon become somewhat of an issue for the group.
All this chatting and mingling had re-ignited the boredom once faced back at base, and caused the group to go off-shore to discuss their plan. Amongst the potions 2 had brewed, splash potions of poison and infestation were most important. Their plans would unfold as such: 2 would walk into the crowd of players congregating in the casino, splash both potions, and watch as the silverfish spawned by the poison damage caused death and destruction. All who remained would be swiftly executed by the Red Thorns, and those who escaped would be next. With everyone briefed on the plan, 2 used the splash strength, speed, and fire-resistance potions they had brewed to buff up the party. Now all that was left was to see it through.
2 approached the casino. 2 entered the casino. 2 threw the potions. 2 escaped to a safe distance. And yet, not a single person perished. As it turns out, silverfish are nothing more than weak little pests. Simply put, the plan was a failure. In fact, no one even cared, some even finding it humorous. This complete lack of concern for their safety caused 310 to break. He had waited long enough, it was showtime. The first arrows flew with a fierce velocity. People began to fall. Chaos personified had been unleashed unto Loupland, and it would not stop until it was satisfied. The first to notice were quick to alert the other Loupland residents. The casino goers however, were not prepared for the attack. The chaos grew stronger with every person felled. The Red Thorns swiftly dispatched of any who opposed them, even destroying a bed to prevent flanks during the invasion.
With the north island under Fort Red Berry control, they began to move across the bridge. Slowly but surely, they were making ground. The might and ferocity of the Red Thorns were too much for the Loupland people to stop. They could only hold, and some could only attempt to burn the Red Thorn's resources to halt their push. The Loupland dogs were the only thing they had going for them, as they distracted the Red Thorns from shooting at the defenders. Even these were dealt with swiftly. 310's infinity bow was putting in good work, allowing him to unleash a storm of death upon the defenders. 2 was keeping the Red Thorns healthy, and 37 alongside 252 were keeping the bridge secure as they pushed up. Before long, the Red Thorns had almost reached the south island. Not a single member had perished, whilst Loupland had sustained more casualties than they could count. The end of the bridge was in sight, but 37 and 252 were out of arrows. 310 was still going strong with the infinity bow, almost making landfall. He wanted nothing more than to reach the other side, but it was at this time that 37 called to back out. Enough damage had been caused, and the other members of the Red Thorns were ready to call it a day. With their blood lust satiated, the Red Thorns left Loupland once and for all.
The trip back to base was a joyous one. They had finally served themselves over someone else, and their conquest had ended very well and on their own terms. There was laughter and cheerful discussion of the destruction they had caused, and the group felt very accomplished. Upon returning to base, it was discovered that someone had griefed it in their absence. This was expected though, so the group didn't care. They were just happy to be home after a long mission. Because they had just made enemies out of the entire world, the people of Fort Red Berry decided that instead of letting someone else be the reason their great nation crumbled they would end it all themselves. They griefed the remaining chests, and got rid of anything that may potentially aid anyone looking for breadcrumbs. They even released Fred back into the wild, allowing him to "meet up with this brother" and "find his family". Fred of course did not want to leave, and swam back to stay with the Fort. After reassuring him it would be okay, Fred finally found his family.
With this, Fort Red Berry had officially ended. The Red Thorns would forever live on in legend, known as the lawless mercenaries fueled only by their desire for riches and power. Fort Red Berry would be forever known as the impenetrable fortress that produced the most powerful players of all time, as well as the nation who conquered the world.
If you made it to the end of this story and are reading this, thank you for taking the time to read our tale! Fort Red Berry means so much to me, 2, 37, 252, and everyone else involved in keeping it alive. We hope you enjoyed our story, and we can't wait to see you again in trial 2!

Economy
As of the end of trial 1, Fort Red Berry has been disbanded. They traded iron, copper, and gold for things like wood, favors, and knowledge. They also offered their might for money, using max enchanted bows to eliminate all who opposed them.
Government
As of the end of trial 1, Fort Red Berry has been disbanded. They had two semi-official elected citizens. Player 310 is in charge of foreign and internal affairs, with player 2 acting as his assistant.
Foreign affairs
As of the end of trial 1, Fort Red Berry has been disbanded. Fort Red Berry had no allies. They did however had trade agreements with most groups on the server, exchanging their strength for various resources. Their borders were very tightly guarded, and people were not allowed to come and go as they pleased.
Military
As of the end of trial 1, Fort Red Berry has been disbanded. They housed the group known as, "The Red Thorns". Made up of players 310, 252, 2, and 37, the quartet acted as private mercenaries for hire, with their first mission being the defense of Dead Horse at the end of session seven. They also house a guardsman, player 888. The raid on Loupland was their first mission as an independent militant force, and was also their last.
Culture
Fort Red Berry, while having specialized citizens, highly incentivizes it's citizens to cooperate on most tasks that occur within the walls. No one person is too specialized to help the defensive operations, or is too important to rule over another. At first, the project of defending the base with stone bricks was a nation-wide effort, as all members were contributing to the goal in one way or another. Now, conducting trade and helping one another level up their specialization is what everyone works toward. No one person is above all others. While every member has their own specialization, it is a constant team effort to support and progress one another, as the bonds the current members share allows them to come to one another's aid in a time of crisis.
Fort Red Berry was very welcoming to travelers, often feeding and sheltering them for the duration of their visit. However, recent developments have forced Fort Red Berry to keep very tight borders, as random people have been able to come and go for far too long.
Kindness is a key component to making people feel at home, and the residents do everything in their power to make those passing through feel welcomed. However, those who come to Fort Red Berry and demand the other residents to do things for them such as collecting large sums of a specific resource or setting something up so that they alone can take advantage of it are not welcomed. Because Fort Red Berry focuses on the group, those who would rather sit and wait for others to bring the goods to them are not appreciated within the walls of the compound. If they cannot find a way to cooperate and aid the group in a manner deemed fit by the populous, then they will be cast out of the fort's walls.
As of the end of trial 1, Fort Red Berry has been disbanded. They ended session 13 with 310, 2, 252, 37, 431, 911, and 888 as official residents.
