Glory to the Dead Horse
Glory to the Dead Horse is a song written by Participant 521, the Bard of Dead Horse, in-between Sessions 6 and 7. It was first performed during Session 7 after a wartime meeting, and again as the session ended. Its name quickly became a popular greeting and farewell remark, and it is regarded as Dead Horse's unofficial national anthem. Glory to the Dead Horse was traditionally played at the close of each session.

Lyrics and Chords
Chorus (repeat 2x)
Am
Glory to the dead horse
E7
Glory to the dead horse
G
Glory to the dead horse
C
Glory to the dead horse
Long ago, in times far gone past
a people emerged, who followed our path.
They farmed the land, felled trees with an axe
But one fateful night, faced the good world’s wrath.
Chorus
From far down below, hellspawn rose up –
brought terror and anguish, broke the peace they’d built up –
left their nation a ghost town, left them desperate in need –
but the gods showed them mercy, and answered their pleas.
Chorus
A symbol of our endurance, as a people were forged;
as the lightning came down, an undead horse came forth.
The miracle of life – a new people was born
with a great blue sky, the new people endured.
Instrumental
On this fateful day, in times forged anew
a people endured, with a new point of view.
They built up again, mined the same mines they knew,
empowered by the sky, they knew what to do.
Chorus
