The Axes Seamen (2. Gen Seamen)
About the definition of Seamen: The Seamen can be divided into three Generations. Generation one was formed in the test trial. They were living in a small settlement called "Venice" and were raiding other civilizations in order to gain sugarcane. In the last 15 minutes they were destroying nearby civilizations while screaming "Seamen." In Trial 3 the player 802, a former member of Venice, founded the Seamen. (2. Generation) After the destruction of the second generation through 2gypt, the third generation of Seamen arose. Although unrelated to the second generation, they were named after them by unknowing people in the discord and the name caught on. The second and third generations are not related to each other. This right here is the official page for the Seamen (2. Gen.), edited and created by its' leader. Updates on its' history will be provided as time goes on. This is a WIP, so do be vary of major changes. The Seamen was an Event 2 faction, with their center set in The Axes, a floating ship settlement. Growing, yet mighty, located on a Savanna island not too far away from spawn. Its citizens were hardworking, its industries - rapidly developing. The Seamen were antagonized into becoming world 2's first main villain. Uniting the Northern nations against it. |

History
The starting hours of The Axes can be characterized with one word - chaos. Since the world's spawn was a barren desert with numerous monsters and little useful resources, the founding parents - Applesauce and the Cyclops were struggling with constant death, loss, and subjects that were less intelligent than the fish they fed on. The seas played a large part in the Axes' early survival, as they fed themselves almost exclusively by fishing. By the end of Session 1A, the Axes' Seamen Town consisted of a tiny platform made of a mix of dirt, sand, diorite and loose planks that was surrounded by monsters.

The chaos of session 1A left spawn filled with many people from different origins. Some were from failing civilisations, others had died before beds were secured. Many of these lost souls found Cyclops while making his return track from spawn to the Axes. As they reached the skybase, they found the waters filled with dozens of wooden axes, and chose to name themselves after this auspicious omen. This small group of six people began flourishing, making use of the high number of beds the Axes had acquired to mitigate the chaos. Nights were spend getting food from the sea, as during the day resources were collected to expend the base. This stability attracted other lost souls, growing its members to 10. During this time, infrequent visitors from other civilizations happened across the Axes, forming the beginning of diplomatic relations, which would result in the tentative trade and solidarity with Friendship Island.

The settlement grew steadily and made large progress in base-building and diplomacy, setting up diplomatic relationships and trading with many settlements around them, now having met the material needs of every single one of their citizens and ready to take on more. The sky base grew into a structure that resembles a flying ship, and while progress was still going, it was much prettier than most bases around.

But soon, from Applesauce, harrowing news came. Twogypt was preparing their soldiers for war, rushing diamond gear and seemingly spewing Anti-Seaman rhetoric. The news were soon confirmed, as were their plans for war, and Applesauce chose to go in for a preemptive strike with 4 of the best Seamen soldiers. Unsurprisingly, the Marines were crushed by the overwhelming number of egyptians, which soon followed up with a counter-attack, slaughtering the population of Axes and taking anything of value. Here the story of the Axes Seamen currently ends.
But the story of Cyclops continues. He approaches the Pharaoh to thank him for the experience and ask about the further plans of the egyptians. While at first the Pharaoh seems sympathetic, and offers the Seamen to go back to their place, this time "peacefully", he quickly changes his mind and commands his men to chase after the Seaman and execute him. With his sharp tongue and logic, he stops the guards dead in their tracks after chasing him for a good 200 blocks. He explains the situation to them, to which they have no objections, and share Cyclops' sentiment. They allow him to traverse by Egypt, from where he travels with the other Seamen refugees. Perhaps in the future this history will continue. Axes Seamen live on in our hearts.
Economy
The Axes aren't particularly rich, but they are rapidly developing. They can boast a large sugarcane industry, talented blacksmiths, healers and miners as well as an underdeveloped animal industry.
Government
For now, the government is a Consensual Autocracy - one all-powerful leader - The Cyclops, at the helm. Though people's consent or at least a lack of opposition is needed for him to lead. He always clarifies that he is not a ruler, and not a "Sea King" as some people have chosen to call him. Future prospects include the implementation of the Consentcraft system of government.
Foreign affairs
The Axes have had decent contact with the surrounding civilizations, sending out trade and diplomatic expeditions to foreign lands like Twogypt (Egypt 2). They have, through the power of diplomacy, acquired significant amounts of sugarcane, and have taken Friendship Island's proposition of peace in exchange for said sugarcane.
Non-aggression pacts have been verbally described with Travelers' Island, Seven Boats and Twogypt.
Military
Applesauce stands at the helm of the Marines. The Seamen's Marines are highly trained in combat, raiding and skirmishing, as well as stealth and espionage. They are fairly well-equipped.
Culture
The Axes have a general pirate-like culture, valuing camaraderie, hard work and freedom.
Worship of the "Sea King" is disapproved by the supposed "Sea King", however continues happening.
The Seamen speak their own code language called Cant whenever it is needed for concealment, the flag of the settlement features text in this language. Shanties and pirate slang are in common day-to-day use.
Banner
No In-game representation of the banner exists right now.
