History

Upon the beginning of history, as humanity emerged from the desert, the first settlers went east until they reached the lush coasts of the central continent. There they would slowly gather into a large group and work together to survive the harsh nights. In a skybase built of merely dirt, these first settlers survived through the nights, persisting off fish and hunted meat.

Eventually, these first settlers would decide that the lands of the central continent were too dangerous to inhabit, and not nearly lush enough for their people. And so, upon the end of the first session, these settlers sailed in the direct where the sun rose—directly east, to their promised land.

The journey was harsh and unforgiving, but eventually, the first settlers would arrive in a lush forest valley, next to great mountains and with a river running through it; this land would become their new home. As time passed, the settlers began to advance and procure tools of stone, and then of iron, eventually building out of stone bricks. These settlers then decided they needed a name for their new home, and so they named the land after the two things that brought them there: the land where the sun rose, the East, and the lush lands for them to live upon, the Garden, and so they had decided upon a name: Eastgard.

Time would continue to pass, and the people of Eastgard would develop further, building secure walls on the surface to eventually leave their skybases, and upon the end of the third session, the people of Eastgard began to plan their greatest monument, a fortress so grand none could dare deny the might of Eastgard.
