History
Two players stopped at the jungle river to collect melons, and started tilling land for farms. A larger group of migrants showed up and people started working together and assigning roles. Each night the players would climb the tall trees and wait for the night to end, praising the return of the sun. Each morning people would die to mobs as they tried to climb back down and resume work.
This poor jungle village was not easy to find, so many members of the original group never returned after their deaths. this led to a slow and painful process where people would die and be replaced with new people. The village is in a better spot now at the end of session 1B, but currently has a food shortage due to farmer deaths.
Economy
Due to being in its infancy, the village mostly shares resources and works together to fund their united projects. Most food is obtained from fishing from high in the trees, and no trade exists between Cannabis Village and other settlements.
Government
There is no official government for Cannabis Village, no leader arose, and all members have been working together peacefully according to each of their needs.
Foreign affairs
Cannabis Village is isolated and hasn't had official relations with any large nations. All that pass through are greeted peacefully, but people usually die to the mobs hiding among the trees.
Military
So far mobs are being dealt with using traps and living high in the treetops, and there is no military to speak of.
Culture
Before Cannabis Village was called Cannabis village, the residents would call themselves "Jungle um treetop uh canopy uh sun river people" The part about the sun referred to an old ritual where they greeted the sun as a friend at each dawn. This name was considered impractical, and so it was decided that since canopy sounds similar to cannabis, this was to be the new name of the village.
