The Story of the Mountaineers

(This is an in-game book written by the Mountaineers. Only small changes have been made to correct some grammar/spelling errors.)

And so the end times draw near, and with it comes the time to write down the story of who we are.

The people here are:
Enderfriend: Healer
The Girl: Farmer
Suns: Builder
Gaster: Miner
Comrade: Blacksmith

Our group started at spawn, where Enderfriend started a tree house to gather in safety with the newly arrived. There were more than just the 5 of us but we lost them along the way. While we don't remember their names we remember their help.
After a few nights of getting together and figuring out what to do, we traveled east for a day and set up a temporary base next to what they called "Sky Base". We were around seven people then and Sky City were kind neighbors giving us food and other kinds of aid.

We then traveled south for a day and set up our first base where we survived for a week and while it was longer than expected, we had a nice little sky base going. Our struggle was real but we survived, got beds and a safe place to not starve.
This place is also where we became the five that we are now, as others did not make it past this point.

As we decided to move for"safety in distance" we tried to bring a neighbor with us, whose nation had seemingly abandoned them. Sadly howeber they did not survive the night.
We moved south for a day and set up on outpost, bringing our seeds, tools and builder materials to make our final base far south. We spent a day or so scouting and gathering our people, with different people being on at different times making it a bit harder than usual.

Suns found Goat Mountain and set up our 2nd outpost there, though this later proved a traitorous and difficult area to survive as it was nestled in a slope on Goat Horn Mountain.

Once we truly got the Hanging Towers started, safety was quickly established.
The first part of the Hanging Towers to be built was the keep's walls with a temporary floating platform to live on above it. After that the "Cat Towers" were built for farming, followed by the interior and upper floors.

During this time a trader hailing from Black Sheep started trading with us, giving us wood, saplings, blessed food and other things in exchange for iron. While we had first met him at our first outpost, we didn't have much back then. While some of us were suspicious at first, he never seemed to have ill will towards us and with his help we prospered.

Despite some surprises along the way we have survived and even lived. Food is plenty and levels are high. Now I hope we are far enough from spawn that we can survive the chaos to come.

Then we will truly have succeeded.

Now I will leave the last pages to the rest of my team, to write what they feel anyone reading this needs to know.

This has been a great experience and I hope that they feel the same.

-Enderfriend
The Healer

It was hard to get started as miner since we don't have a lot of people and it doesn't help that I was having a "skill issue". Once we set up our final base location it got much easier. It also helped that I found a cave. I also died a lot in that cave. My other job other than trying to get ores was to get a lot of cobblestone, and I mean a lot for our builder Suns. That's all that I have to say.

-Gaster
The Miner

This whole experience has been wonderful, a team working together each playing to their strengths. Our accomplishments will live forever. And soon we liberate the working classes... Miners, blacksmiths, comrades UNITE you have nothing to lose but your chains!
In all actuality, never discount having each other's backs. Trials and tribulations until finally abundance was found. Our beautiful creation will stand the test of time.

-Comrade
The Blacksmith

We exist outside of time. So south means we are isolated from the outside world. It's very peaceful up here. When the end of the world came, we were the last bastion of civilization. I couldn't imagine doing this as strangers and would be proud to describe my fellow Mountaineers as friends. I was honored to be a builder, and despite its many flaws am very proud of the Hanging Towers. If you are reading this and not a mountaineer, just know that the combined determination to survive and ambition to do great things were what held us together. Real nice stuff.

-Suns
The Builder

While The Girl was not here for the last session her expertise and cooperation have been incredibly important for our group. She was great to survive with and I hope I see her in the future.
